If you’re reading this, then you’ve stumbled upon my new blog, Posh + Painterly. Posh + Painterly is another platform through which I want to start building a brand and showcasing my artwork. This first post will be short and sweet, I just want to tell you a little bit more about me and what I aim to do here.
I found my love of art at a young age, with a mom who was always trying to make more room on the fridge for all the drawings I gave her and far too many years of childhood birthday parties at my favorite pottery painting studio, Plaster Palace. I have many creative interests outside of the visual arts, including music, interior design, fashion and film production. I love learning about other people and cultures, drinking mimosas at Sunday brunch, street art, humanitarian work, trying new foods, and curling up with a good book on a rainy day.
Over the years, I’ve often found that I wish I could see more “behind the scenes” of many of my favorite artists. I am curious to gain insight into their techniques for working, where they pull their inspiration from, and more about them as individuals. My hopes in starting Posh + Painterly is to give those interested a more personal look into my journey as a young artist. I plan to write about art that I am currently working on, meaning behind art I have created, travel, college, resources for young artists, and much more. This blog is meant for anyone who loves art, those who are interested to learn more about art, and those who want to hear more about me and my process specifically.
I am planning to post at least one new blog every week, so keep an eye out on my Instagram and website for posts! I am so excited to start this journey, and I hope you’re excited to follow along the way.
Until next week,
Hannah from Posh + Painterly
